How to add/use the "From" Field in Outlook How to add/use the "From" Field in Outlook Task: This article provides step-by-step instructions on how to send from different email address in Classic or New Outlook. Use Case: This article is helpful when you need to send from more than one email address in Outlook. Prerequisites: Access to Classic Outlook and the other account's email. Access to New Outlook and the other account's email. Steps: Classic Outlook: 1. Open the Classic Outlook, then select "New Email" 2. Next, select the 'Options' tab. 3. Under Show Fields, select the option for 'From'. 4. Now that the From field is enabled, your email address will show by default. If you have permission to send on behalf of another address, select 'Other Email Address'. 5. A dialog box will appear, please type in the address there. It will then appear as a drop-down in the From field. New Outlook: 1. Open new Outlook on your computer, then click on the Settings Cog/Gear Icon. 2. Mail -->Compose and reply -->under Message format section, tick Always show From check box. 3. Exit out of settings, and select 'New Email'. Then click on your email address. 4. From here you can select an alias, or if an email you want to send from is not there, you can add it.
